Well hello beautiful! I'm Stefanie.
We often walk through life having experienced deeply painful, traumatic, and heartbreaking situations that leave us with a sense of not knowing who we are anymore. Sometimes we carry those burdens an entire lifetime, somehow believing that we are “too much” or “not enough”, and that we have no safe space to share and unravel our stories. I’m here to remind you that your past and your experiences are not who you ARE. You are not “wrong”, broken, or wounded beyond repair. You may simply be breaking open so that the wounded spaces within you can receive the healing and love they deserve. We have the immense capacity to heal and transform, and allowing ourselves to FEEL and reconnect with ourselves in a safe space brings us back to life. I don’t believe that I’m the expert on your life, you are.
I am here to be a fiercely loving space-holder for your unique wisdom to reveal itself.
I’ve experienced extraordinary challenges in my own life and have discovered wisdom, strength, and compassion through my own healing, and also in the journeys I have walked with hundreds of other beautiful beings as they discover their own capacity for transformation. Much of what I have learned in my own life has come from my soul deep connection with Nature, earth wisdom, and the intricate cycles and seasons of life that have helped me to see that there is beauty to be found in both the darkness and light in all of those. I’m a woman who walks through the world with wonder and I find immense meaning in everyday small experiences and my connection to others and life. As a therapist I offer a space of love and acceptance balanced with the capacity to see where being challenged sometimes is required for transformation to occur. Seeing others succeed in areas that are meaningful to them is one of my greatest joys, and I would be honored to walk with you on your own unique journey.
I’ve been licensed as an LMSW since 2013 after completing my MSW at Texas State University and have since worked with child survivors of abuse and crime, unhoused women and children, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and those challenged by substance use.
I’m a bit of a weird wild card and enjoy incorporating innovative and non-traditional approaches into the healing process.
I have found that integrating adjunctive body-based approaches into the trauma healing framework provides a deeply supportive process, which has further fueled my passion for somatic work. I continue to explore and learn the benefits of alternative approaches as a yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner and view myself as a forever curious student. In my personal life I have many passions and enjoy reading, writing, painting, photography, and cooking. I’m a wild outdoors woman and have five deeply spoiled furry friends. I live in the middle of nowhere and am often found gardening barefoot, cooking over an open fire, or rehabbing wildlife.
